FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Radiofrequency microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses needles in combination with fractional radiofrequency energy.

The treatment involves insulated gold-plated microneedles that penetrate into the skin at a certain depth and deliver a radiofrequency impulse into the targeted area.
This way of delivering radiofrequency gives off more uniform heating of the deeper skin layers thus causing collagen contraction and stimulation.
Thus it helps to stimulate the body's own production of collagen and elastin over the next few months, resulting in long-term skin tightening and rejuvenation.

It is important to avoid sun exposure and wear sunscreen for the first week following the treatment.

RF microneedling results are typically seen within a few weeks, with continuous improvement over the next few months. Most people will need 2-3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart to achieve best results.

After your RF microneedling treatment, it is normal to experience some redness and swelling.
This is perfectly normal and will typically subside within a few hours to a couple of days.
Now regarding your skin care after your treatment, here are some rules:

1-Sun Protection is critical.
Avoid exposing your skin to the sun immediately after treatment. Also, wear sunscreen daily for at least 2 weeks after the RF microneedling treatment.
Additional protection such as reapplying your sunscreen, wearing a wide-brimmed hat, and seeking shade when possible is also highly recommended.

Within the first few days after your RF Microneedling treatment, you may notice that your skin is red, sore, blotchy, dry, and flaky. Some tiny needle scabs might be visible too.

This is normal and should go away on its own provided the right aftercare is followed.
To help alleviate the irritation and the skin repair process after the treatment, we recommend the daily use of a gentle soap-free cleanser,a ceramide rich moisturiser, followed by very high sun protection.

You should avoid also the use of any exfoliating treatments including products containing AHA/BHA

avoid using products containing retinoids including retinol for at least 2 weeks after the rf microneedling treatment

avoid any heat treatments and strenuous activities such as hot showers, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds, heavy gym workouts, running, all-night dancing, etc. for at least 3 days following the treatment.

Avoid make-up for the first 24 to 72 hours.

drink plenty of water and eat foods rich in antioxidants including lots of fruit and veggies to help support your skin, as it goes through the healing process. Liposomal Vitamin C intake orally is a great way to stimulate the collagen and to boost your skin healing process

It depends on the area you need to treat, but as a general rule a session of RF Microneedling for the face cost £479
