Nefertiti Neck Lift Treatment in Reading

The  procedure ‘Nefertiti Lift’ was named after the Egyptian queen Nefertiti for her sharp jawline, and is highly regarded as a sign of ‘attractivity’.

The main reasons why some women look older than they actually are due to ageing around the jawline and the neck.

Over time loss of muscle tone, skin fat and gravitational pull lead to the appearance of the famous ‘turkey neck’. The contour of the jawline disappears and neck lines look more prominent.

Small diluted concentrations of Neuromodulator or Botulinum toxin type A can be injected into this muscle at various points across the neck  and beneath the jawline, relaxing the platysma muscle and causing unopposed pull from the musculature above and hence a mini non-surgical face and neck lift.

Nefertiti Neck Lift Treatment FAQ

Nefertiti neck lift is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that aims to reduce the signs of ageing of the neck while lifting and tightening the jawline.

It is named after Queen Nefertiti of Egypt, who is considered a symbol of beauty and femininity.

The goal of neckline botox is to achieve a neck that looks lone, soft and slender without even having to undergo surgery.

But that’s not always possible since Nefertiti neck lift essentially targets the platysma muscle in the neck and the jawline.

So, if the problem of loose neck  is the presence of very loose skin or excess fat, a Nefertiti neck lift using anti wrinkles injection won’t help you.

If however the problem is due to hyperactive muscle, then some people do make good candidates for it.

In the UK, you can get a Nefertiti neck lift for around £400-£500.

At Dr Wafaa Clinic, the treatment cost £450.

The main difference between a Nefertiti neck lift and a surgical neck lift is that Neck anti wrinkles injections   can only create a subtle lifting effect and is most suited for younger patients who already have good skin and suffer of mild laxity and neck lines or tech lines.

In a surgical neck lift, the surgeon tightens the muscles in your neck, cuts out excess skin, and removes extra fat to completely change the contour of your neck. It is far more dramatic, but, of course, its recovery takes longer, and is more suitable for older patients.

Also in Nefertiti Neck lift, no anaesthesia is required and there is no downtime compared to surgical neck lift. And the cost!!A huge difference when comparing the cost of each procedure

As any wrinkles treatment, Nefertiti lift can last anywhere from 3 to 6 months.

Since it uses neurotoxin, which is eventually broken down by the body within 12 weeks, its effects won’t last longer than that. So, to maintain the results, you’ll have to keep getting these injections as long as you are a candidate for it.

Initially you will have an in depth consultation with Dr Wafaa to assess and decide if you are candidate for Nefertiti Neck lift and if Botulinum toxin injections can be prescribed for you.

Then if you are deemed a candidate, after going through a consent form, she might also apply a numbing cream, although the injections in the neck don’t really cause any pain.

You’ll be asked to clench your teeth so that the platysma bands are visible on the neck.

The injection points are mainly along the lower jawline and the upper part of this neck muscle.

Dr Wafaa usually uses around 15-20 units of Botox on each side to achieve the desired effect, but this might varies between different cases

The entire treatment shouldn’t take longer than 15-20 minutes, and it doesn’t have downtime. It is considered a “lunchtime procedure,” although you might still experience occasionallY redness, bruising or swelling at the site of the injections.

Known as a procedure to create redefinition of the jawline, Nefertiti neck lift uses  Botulinum toxin type A injected into  the platysma muscle in the neck to stop contracting so that it wouldn’t pull down on the face.

Additionally, when injected under the lower jaw, the skin around the jawline would be lifted creating a contour  like Nefertiti’s.

Not only would it make the jawline appear sharper and well-defined, but it would also minimise the appearance of the longitudinal bands on the neck, making it look more youthful and reduce jowls.

Nefertiti neck lifts do work, but patient selection is really  important  and crucial when it comes to this treatment.

According to a 2017 study published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, this treatment is best for:

  1. Young patients
  2. With hyperactive platysma muscle
  3. And have good elastic skin

These patients, in general, can get the best results.

People who have poor skin laxity and fatty deposits in the neck are poor candidate for this procedure.

that’s why an initial consultation and assessment is ideal to evaluate each case and determine the success rate of the Nefertiti neck lift on the patient.
